A drive in the country :: Coal Valley

We enjoyed a long weekend in our city and decided on a drive in the country.

Beautiful coffee at a funny little restaurant,

Beautiful stone church,

Beautiful things in beautiful old shops,

Beautiful old homes to dream of living in,

A beautiful country lane to explore.

Only for kids :: certain fashion items

The stretchy all in one body suit with stripes and contrasting gumboots.  Notice the hip pushed out in sheer joy of the coolness and comfort of his outfit.

Floppy old fashioned washer girl hats....she likes to try and eat this one......perhaps it is the cherries on the print?

Adorable on the smalls............not recommended for grown ups.

Family Life :: a daily ritual

The best way to start the day with two babies at home is a walk in the sun to collect the mail from our local post office.

Then on to RAW for a  hot cup of fabulous coffee.

This is a  favourite local coffee shop and deli with a wonderful selection of delicious foods and treats.

A moment of feeling like a grown up instead of host to playschool.  Felix can explore the courtyard safely as he can't get outside of the walls.
