Family Life:: a day in the life of Felix

 

Waking up slowly,

Toast for breakfast,  making sure "the bag" is close at hand.

Cuddles with "bubba"

ABC kids, the saviour of the modern mother,

Horrified at the dinner I have made for him,

Stories before bed with Lachlan,

Asleep in peaceful dreams at last.

It's been a while :: another sporting discovery

My very adventurous and capable young man is undertaking a new sport, golf !

A new set of clubs with his savings,

  two lessons and two friendly competitions under his belt, 

We are so lucky to have such a fabulous golf course on our doorstep.  One of the many benefits of this wonderful lifestyle city.  He is destined for greatness.

It's been a while :: she is growing up

Isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderful, isn't she precious,

We have been heaven blessed, I can't believe what God has done.

Summer Days :: first ice-cream

This look is priceless.

It represents intense concentration and appreciation.

Felix was apprehensive at first, repeating the words cold, cold, cold.

After realising the stick end was for holding not putting in your mouth he enjoyed every sweet moment.

It is so humbling to watch little ones with "first" experiences.  Such curiousity and enjoyment in the simplest of things....a reminder to me of childhood days gone by.

An ice-cream on a hot summer's day......is there a more delicious treat?

A visit from Grandma :: bubbles

Curious at first about the new game of blowing bubbles with Grandma,

Amazing what entertainment some water and detergent can inspire,

Naturally, a taste is required.  Almost, but not quite grown up enough, to resist putting "everything" in his mouth.
